Police said officers responded to reports of a shooting at the North Hills Shopping Center Sunday night.
Around 7:30 p.m., officers with the Raleigh Police Department responded to reports of a shooting near the Regal movie theater at 4150 Main at North Hills St., close to the Christmas tree and green space in the busy shopping center.
A man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The shooter and the victim knew each other, police said.
Police said the shooter was questioned, but no arrests have been made.
A press release stated the incident was isolated and there was no threat to the public, but Thanksgiving weekend is a busy time for shopping, and people were outside walking around at the time of the shooting.
North Hills released the following statement:
"Having that conversation is key charge your self phones and determine a meeting place," Demeo said.
Shootings happened at other busy shopping centers as well.
An investigation into the North Hills shooting is ongoing.
