LEE COUNTY, Fla.– The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting at a gas station in Lehigh Acres.
Deputies swarmed the Shell gas station on Homestead Road.
Our crews on scene say the gas station is taped off with crime scene tape.
“Everytime I come to this gas station there is something going on, I’ve seen it first hand, like drug exchange,” resident Alberto Torres said.
On Saturday, people at the pump witnessed a shooting. Deputies swarmed this shell gas station off homestead road..
“Whatever it was, it didn’t look too good so I told my wife, we are going to get the … Out of here,” Joe said. He was on the way home from North Fort Myers when he saw a swarm of deputy cars.
Deputies said one person was hurt., but have not shared what led up to shots being fired at the gas station.
“They’ve got to do something even though they have cameras up there they have to do something,” Torres said.
Now people who live around here are concerned.
“If you have a lost bullet or something, you might hit innocent people,” Torres said.
He normally goes to this gas station, but he said he will think twice before next time.
LCSO said they are still investigating.
